Last week’s carnival of homeschooling included a number of really good homeschool thoughts, so I thought I’d share some with you here.
We can’t help our children deal with their fears until we’ve learned to deal with ours. This is a hard truth that is even more poignant in homeschooling than anywhere else. We can’t give what we don’t have. So what are you afraid of?
Speaking of fear, one fear that sometimes comes true is, after doing all of our research and making a final decision to homeschool, our children tell us that they want to go to school. What do we do? Karen has a very thorough post about what a child’s request to go to school really means, and what a parent can do about it.
Does homeschooling push your buttons? If so, that’s not a bad thing. It’s a chance for growth. Here’s an example of this.
I guess this turned out to be a mini version of the carvnival, but I wanted to give these posts an extra mention, because they stood out to me. I hope you like them too!
