We arrived at the HSC conference today. Our drive was long (a big accident on the 5 kept us in traffic for an hour longer than we had planned) and it was a tad stressful (our five-year-old and our eight-year-old both got carsick). So, it was doubly delightful to arrive at the hotel and relax into the conference aura.
We sat outside in the grove and watched the talent show where kids did magic tricks, played instruments, sang and danced. I had a chance to say “hi” to a few friends and do some debriefing with my husband about how to manage my talks, the kids’ sessions and our mealtimes tomorrow.
Now, we’re sitting in the hotel room, relaxing. Hubby’s playing his bass guitar, the kids are watching TV (such a special treat to watch TV before bed!) and I’m going over my notes for tomorrow’s talk with Pam Sorooshian.
I should have a lot to report tomorrow. If you’re here at the conference, stop me and say “hi”.
