*More about “Real Cons of Homeschooling – Socialization and Socializing”: There is much debate about the social effects of homeschooling. Critics say that homeschoolers don’t get enough of it or the right kind of it. Homeschoolers argue that it’s not an issue, and there are plenty of opportunities for it. But there is certainly a challenge to dealing with socialization and socializing in homeschooling, and it’s not what people generally argue about. This 1/2 hour talk will dive into how friends, culture, and community are tied into school, and how we can deschool these important aspects of our children’s life-long education.
